Yvette replied that she knew of no one by that name, at least not in her neighborhood. The visitor insisted that he had been told by Mr. Chehin that the latter lived in that street, near the playground, right where they now stood. Yvette, starting to get annoyed at the gentleman, told him: "Sir, I've been living here most of my life and I certainly know of no Chinaman by that name living in this street, and for that matter in all of Lago Heights!!!"

Whereupon the gentleman sighed and muttered:
"And I was sure that Bambam told me that he lived around here . . . ."
It was only then that Yvette, who knew Bambam as long as she'd been living in Lago Heights, found out that his surname was "Chehin". And Bambam lived just two houses further up the road . . . . .
